Another article from Lenka Šindlerová’s group focused on cyanobacterial harmful blooms (CyanoHABs) . The author is Veronika Skočková and the article explains the effects of LPS isolated from CyanoHABs on epithelial and immune cells. For the study of the effect, models of keratinocytes (HaCaT), the intestinal epithelium (co-culture of differentiated Caco-2 cells and peripheral blood mononuclear cells – PBMC) were used. 

The research was collaborated by colleagues from RECETOX, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, Brno.
