Unfortunately, it’s time for another farewell. Our colleague Verča is leaving for a postdoc position in Finland. Verča will be working at the University of Oulu, Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, in the Disease Networks research unit, within the research group of Prof. Seppo Vainio.

Verča’s research focused on isolating LPS from cyanobacterial blooms and laboratory cultures of cyanobacteria, and assessing their biological activity using various in vitro models. She utilized models involving immune cells and epithelial cells to study the effects of these compounds.
